| Patriarch
of McInerney Clan Climbs Stairway to Heaven
William B. Bill McInerney, the 87 year old male Patriarch of the Chicago based family, passed away on December 9, 2009 from reticular thrombosis. Mr. McInerney was active and enjoying his children, grandchildren and traveling throughout the world until just days before his passing. A once decorated World War II Marine assigned as an aide to General Holland Smith, Commander of the Marine Corps was always a requested speaker at Marine Corp. functions across the country. Mr. McInerney had been very successful in the steel and tubing business, real estate and a variety of other investments. Mr. McInerney was able to serve as a strong father to his three children Barrett, Brian and Judy on the death of their mother Marian Barrett McInerney, on October 28, 2009. The entire McInerney family deeply appreciated the prayers, cards and thoughts during a difficult past holiday season. The best and most loving parents in the world believes Brian W. McInerney. I believe they are still watching over us. << back |
