When Dan Goossen left America Presents, it was the end of an era in which the California native helped take an upstart promotional company into the highest reaches of the boxing business. It was an unprecedented rise, and one unexpected by those in the boxing industry. But as one journey ends, another begins.

When Goossen formed Goossen Tutor Promotions with Ron Tutor in 2002, the boxing world braced for Goossen to rise again. They just didn't think it would happen this fast.

Having already secured a multi-fight deal with Fox Sports Net to televise Goossen Tutor cards on the highly rated "Sunday Night Fights" telecasts in 2002, Goossen went about the business of signing some of the best talent in the business, fighters like former world champions James Toney, Lou Savarese, and Javier Castillejo, as well as up and coming prospects like Cedric Boswell and Malcolm Tann.

It may have shocked some, but Goossen's success has been nothing new. For more than 20 years, Dan Goossen has been a serious player in the front office of the fight game, elbowing his way into the same space occupied by Don King and Bob Arum.

More importantly, what Dan, 53, has done, is help fighters become rich and famous, including Mike Tyson, David Reid, and David Tua to name a few.

This has been done with honesty and integrity with fighters, fights, media, and most importantly the fans. A straight shooter, Goossen has earned his spot among the top promoters in the sport by consistently putting on entertaining fights, telling it like he sees it to the media, and making sure each one of his fight cards is not only a collection of boxing matches, but an event.

In order to make Goossen Tutor Promotions successful, Dan Goossen says that he, along with his key ingredients to success, Tom Brown and his son Craig, will follow the same guidelines he's always used, hard work and dedication, to give the public what they thrive for, big events. The big added plus is Ron's outstanding business skills.
